Line amount = area × your rate, then three package prices for the customer to pick from
Download the Word file (or the PDF to print), swap every bracket for your own details, and fill the services table from your price sheet with one line per surface. Price the packages, tick the pre-existing conditions at the walkaround, and send the terms with it. The filled example is a $924 job where the customer picked the $654 middle option.

What a Generic Estimate Form Leaves Out
A stock estimate form gives you a box for the description and a box for the amount. FreshBooks' pressure washing version covers business details, the project, costs and terms, with no field for square footage or surface and none for chemicals.
A homeowner with three bids on the counter takes the cheaper one when yours is a bare number next to the $99 guy's, since nothing else on the page differs. An estimate for this trade shows the work, so the price looks built from something, and says up front that a wash won't remove tiger striping or hard water spots.
A Pressure Washing Estimate Template, Field by Field
A blank estimate comes first in the Word file, followed by a filled copy for a fictional two-story house, so you can compare as you type.
- Header and validityYour business details and insurance carrier, plus a license number if your state requires one. The valid-for line starts at 30 days, so an old quote can be re-priced without an argument.
- Property and measured byStories and siding go beside the address. "Measured by" says whether you sized the job from a satellite map or on site, and it feeds term 3.Measured by: satellite map + customer photos
- Services tableOne line per service, with the surface, size, rate and amount. A house takes a tier or a rate per sq ft of siding, flatwork a rate per sq ft, gutters a rate per linear ft. A tax line (if it applies to you) and a deposit line follow the subtotal.Driveway + front walk | Concrete | 800 sq ft | $0.20/sq ft | $160.00
- Choose your optionPackage the same lines. The house wash alone is A. Add the driveway and walk for B, and gutter brightening for C. The customer ticks one, and its price replaces the total.
- Included and not includedThe left column is what happens on every job. The right column settles arguments early. Tiger striping needs gutter brightening, hard water spots on glass are time and materials, and washing can't restore oxidized paint.
- Pre-existing conditionsWhile the customer stands there, tick the boxes that apply, from chalky siding to plants near the work. Write down where, count the photos on file, then get initials.
- Terms and approvalNine short terms, then an approval block with a signature line or an online link, and a box for the option chosen.
The Filled Example
Example Wash Co. measured Jordan Sample's two-story vinyl house from a satellite map and the customer's photos. Rates come from the example column of our price sheet, not from a market. The house price is the one-story tier for 1,801-2,400 sq ft ($380) plus the sheet's 30% height factor, which lands on $494.
| Service | Surface | Size | Rate | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| House wash (soft wash) | Vinyl siding, soffits, gutter faces | 2-story, 2,400 sq ft home | 2-story tier | $494.00 |
| Driveway + front walk | Concrete | 800 sq ft | $0.20/sq ft | $160.00 |
| Gutter brightening | Aluminum gutters | 180 linear ft | $1.50/linear ft | $270.00 |
| Total, all services listed | $924.00 | |||
| Option A, good | House wash | $494 | ||
| Option B, better | House wash + driveway and front walk | $654 (chosen) | ||
| Option C, best | Everything in B + gutter brightening | $924 | ||
Fictional business and customer. Rates are the example column of the WashBid price sheet, not market rates.
Four of the six condition boxes are ticked. There's chalky siding on the north wall, two fogged upstairs windows, a cracked driveway and a rose bed along the front wall. Fourteen before photos are on file.
Why the Form Asks for Three Prices
Three boxes labeled good, better and best turn "can you do it cheaper?" into a choice of scope. Option A is the house wash alone, the number a shopper holds up against the $99 guy. Here B sits $160 above A and C sits $270 above B, and since the extra work rides on the same trip, it usually carries more margin than a second visit would. The price shoppers page has the margin math and what to say on the call.
Terms That Protect You, and the Longer Version
The terms fit on the estimate, so the customer reads them when she accepts the price. Stock terms rarely mention water access, weather, oxidation or pre-existing damage. Term 3 lets you quote from a map or photos, because any difference gets confirmed before you start, and term 8 does the work in a damage dispute, since conditions marked on the form or visible in your before photos were there before you arrived (see damage claims).
The example fills the fee blanks with a $25 late fee after 15 days, a 20% deposit on jobs over $1,000 and a $50 cancellation fee. Those are placeholders, and your state may limit some of them. The not-included wording follows how owners write quotes.
"hard water spots, if found, are additional and will be billed as time and materials to remove."

Recurring or commercial work needs more than nine short terms, and the service agreement template expands them into a clause library you cut down to fit.

Sending the Same Estimate From Your Phone
For a few estimates a week the Word file is enough. The slow part is the evening, when you type each one up from your walkaround notes.
QuoteIQ's Essentials plan ($29.99/mo, as listed on its pricing page, October 2026) covers estimates, invoices, scheduling and card and ACH payments. Beginner ($99.99/mo) adds QuoteIQ Cam job photos with a before/after ghost overlay, plus e-signatures. The walkaround photos and the signed terms then sit on one job record.
Questions Owners Ask
Should an estimate show a price per square foot or one total?
Show the area and rate on each line, with a total at the bottom. The numbers make the price look measured, and she can see which line to drop.
Can I use this for commercial bids?
It's built for houses. A store or a lot is priced from production rates (see commercial bids), with net terms in the commercial clause of the service agreement.
Does a customer's signature make the estimate a contract?
The form says signing or approving online means accepting the estimate and its terms. Whether that holds up depends on your state, so ask a local attorney.
