Win More Pressure Washing Quotes

The wash itself pays. The money goes missing between the first call and the signed quote, and again after the job, when a dead shrub or a stained step becomes your problem.

Short answer

Small shops lose most on driving out to bid, quotes that go silent, discounts for price shoppers, missed calls, damage claims with no before photos and last year's customers nobody calls. Start with the first two. They show up in hours and dollars, and the calculator below runs your own numbers.

Where the Money Leaks Out

~4.5 hours per job won

Driving Out to Bid

"running all over town doing 'maybe' bids gets old quick."dcbrock, PWR forum, 2019

A Grime Scene owner logged 1.5 hours per estimate in 2008 and closed about a third of them, so every job he won cost him 4.5 hours of driving and walking houses.

A phone intake and a satellite measurement get the quote out before they hang up.

Questions Owners Ask

Which leak should I fix first?

Start with drive-out estimates and silent quotes, because both show up in hours and dollars and both have a free fix this week. A phone intake and a map measurement fix the first, and a follow-up list fixes the second.

Do I need software to fix these?

No. Every guide starts with a free or manual version. Software adds automation, such as satellite measuring, follow-ups that send themselves, booking links and photos stored on the job, and each guide names the plan that does it and its cost.

Where do these numbers come from?

Most of it is owner posts on trade forums that we link below and on each guide. The rest is vendor pricing pages read in October 2026 and one Housecall Pro-commissioned homeowner survey, which we label a vendor survey. Anything else is marked as an example.
