Jobber Alternatives for Pressure Washing

Jobber's price went up, its follow-ups sit on a $139 plan, and it can't measure a house from the satellite view. Match the alternative to the reason you're leaving, not to a top-10 list.

Short answer

QuoteIQ fits owners who want satellite measuring (MapMeasure Pro on Beginner, $99.99/mo) or a cheaper start (Essentials, $29.99/mo). Housecall Pro Basic, $79/mo ($59 annual), puts booking and reviews on the first plan. Markate, at $49.95/mo, is Jobber-style software at an owner-operator price. For estimates and invoices alone, Square Invoices is $0/mo plus card fees and Joist is from $10/mo.

Follow-ups are the exception. If they're all you want, Jobber Connect ($99/mo billed annually) costs less than QuoteIQ Pro ($199.99), and staying put can be the right call.

We have affiliate links for QuoteIQ, which pays us for as long as a customer stays subscribed. Jobber and Housecall Pro have links too, while Markate, Square and Joist pay us nothing. Prices come from vendor pricing pages (October 2026) and forum comments, with no hands-on trials.

Why Pressure Washers Look Past Jobber

$49/moJobber Core, no commitment ($29 billed annually)
$139/moConnect, where automatic quote follow-ups start ($99 annual)
NoneBuilt-in satellite measuring

Start with the price. CostBench, a third-party tracker, reports Core moving from $39 to $49 and Connect from $119 to $139 (monthly, no commitment) in July 2026, and Jobber's pricing page now shows $49 and $139. Follow-ups cost a tier jump, since they start on Connect. Reviews are an add-on with no listed price, and Deep Lawn is for lawns, so a house wash means measuring by hand in Google Maps.

Jobber can also feel like too much software, as one r/pressurewashing poster asking for a free app to email quotes made clear:

"I know there are several great products out there for doing this but I'm not busy enough to use an app like Jobber yet."

Jobber still has fans, though. In a 2017 thread on PressureWashingResource, one owner called it worth every penny.

The Alternatives, by the Reason You're Leaving

QuoteIQ to Measure From the Satellite View or Start Cheaper

Essentials is $29.99/mo ($299.99 a year) for 1 user and covers estimates, invoices, scheduling, card and ACH payments and recurring jobs. Beginner, $99.99/mo for 2 users, adds MapMeasure Pro, where you draw the job on the satellite map inside the estimate. It also adds before/after photos and e-signatures.

QuoteIQ's follow-ups start on Pro at $199.99/mo, against Jobber Connect at $139 ($99 annual). On annual billing the entry plans sit $4 apart (Jobber Core at $29/mo, QuoteIQ Essentials at $25/mo), so the measuring is the reason to switch, because the saving is only $48 a year.

QuoteIQ lists a 14-day free trial that needs a card, and a discount pop-up on its pricing page says that deal is billed in full, so read the terms at checkout. App Store reviewers like the remote quoting, though one found mapping hard in wooded areas because of trees in the way (via JustUseApp, undated).

Context

r/pressurewashing mods banned links to QuoteIQ and to Forever Self Employed in a pinned post (Jun 12, 2024), saying the companies had demanded removal of critical posts. We can't verify that. Justin Rogers, who hosts Forever Self Employed, co-founded QuoteIQ with Mike Vidan. A buyer should know that QuoteIQ lists no contracts and no cancellation fees, so you can cancel anytime.

Housecall Pro for Booking and Reviews on the First Plan

Basic is $79/mo ($59 billed annually) for 1 user and lists 24/7 online booking through Google or your website, plus review management, which Jobber sells as an add-on. Essentials covers 5 users for $189 ($149 annual). The trial is 14 days with no card, there's a $26 first-month promo, and we found no satellite measuring. A 2026 Capterra reviewer in another trade says the pricing can feel high for smaller businesses. Jobber vs Housecall Pro for pressure washing has the rest.

Markate for Jobber-Style Software at an Owner-Operator Price

Several PressureWashingResource members used Markate between 2019 and 2022.

"Is it perfect? No, but nothing really is."

CFH, on Markate, PressureWashingResource forum, Jul 2019

Markate lists its Owner Operator plan at $49.95/mo ($45.95/mo billed yearly), plus $5 per employee per month. Its pressure washing page lists automated follow-ups and 24/7 booking. It also lists reviews and signatures with deposits, plus an AI estimator that works from photos, so confirm in the trial which your plan includes. We found no satellite measuring, and the trial is 14 days with no card. Markate alternatives covers the stay-or-switch math.

Square Invoices If You Only Need Estimates and Invoices

Square Invoices has a Free plan at $0 that includes estimates and contracts. Plus is $49/mo and Premium $149. The catch is the card fee, 3.3% + 30¢ on Free and 2.9% + 30¢ on paid plans. A $350 house wash paid by card costs $11.85 in fees on Free or $10.45 on a paid plan, and that 0.4% gap only covers Plus's $49 once you take more than $12,250 a month in card payments. Owners feel the fees:

"After several years of square I got tired of paying 3.5% fees so I let the customer know in advance"

Nashvillewash, PressureWashingResource forum, Jan 2022

Square covers quotes and payment and doesn't replace Jobber. Pair it with our estimate template and follow-up scripts.

Joist for the Simplest Estimate App

Joist plans run from Basics at $10/mo through Pro at $17 and Elite at $32 to Run at $70 (normally $100). The free plan is discontinued, and the trial is 14 days with no card. In a 2017 PressureWashingResource thread, one owner called Joist SUPER simple to use, while another noted you cant take payments on the phone (Mar 2017). That was nine years ago, so check payment options in the trial. Joist's own pricing guide also uses a 30% markup, which is only about a 23% margin (see markup vs margin).

Questions Owners Ask

What's the cheapest Jobber alternative for pressure washing?

Square Invoices Free costs $0/mo but takes 3.3% + 30¢ per card payment, and Joist starts at $10/mo. For quotes, scheduling and payments in one app, QuoteIQ Essentials is $29.99/mo ($25 billed annually).

Which Jobber alternative measures a house from satellite?

QuoteIQ, with MapMeasure Pro on Beginner ($99.99/mo, 2 users). We found none on Housecall Pro's or Markate's pages. Trees can block the view, so keep "price confirmed on arrival" on remote quotes (how to quote remotely).

Is it worth leaving Jobber just to save money?

Usually not, if you're on Core billed annually at $29/mo, since QuoteIQ Essentials at $25/mo saves $48 a year. Switch for satellite measuring or reviews on the base plan, which Jobber doesn't build in.

Did Jobber raise prices in 2026?

CostBench, a third-party tracker, reports it did. Monthly no-commitment Core went from $39 to $49 and Connect from $119 to $139 in July 2026, and annual billing is still cheaper at $29 and $99.
