The Add-On You're Leaving on the Table
The owner who started a PressureWashingResource thread about add-ons admitted he had been turning gutter requests down, and they came up on about 1 in 10 jobs. Another member put a number on it:

Fifteen minutes won't be your number on every house, but the add-on pays either way, because on a house wash the drive, the setup and your overhead are already paid for. Here is the same 180 ft of gutter priced both ways.

Example: labor $30/hr, $15 chemicals, $5/hr equipment wear. The standalone trip also carries 0.5 hr of drive time, $12 fuel and $20 overhead, the starting values in our calculator.
Same gutters, about 3.5 times the profit. The forum owner's 1 in 10 were customers who asked without being offered, so a line on every quote will show you how often people say yes when it's put in front of them.
Put It on Every House Wash Quote
Gutters get rinsed during a house wash, and the black stripes stay put. One owner spells that out in his quotes:
"My housewash will clean your gutters, however, they will not remove the tiger striping (black lines on your gutter)."

That sentence heads off the "my gutters still look dirty" call and sets up the option line below it. Name the option by what the customer sees, since homeowners don't know the word "brightening" but have noticed the black streaks.

Option: remove the black streaks from the gutter faces, ___ linear ft: add $___On old or chalky gutters, say in writing what result to expect and photograph them first (why). The Grime Scene poster's figure, about half the house wash price, is a quick check on your per-foot math.
A checkbox beats remembering to mention it. QuoteIQ's site lists Good/Better/Best tiers on estimates (house wash, plus gutters, full package), though we couldn't confirm which plan includes them, so check before you subscribe. Our guide to options instead of discounts shows how to lay them out.
Measure the Run and Price It
- Measure the eave edges only, since gable ends usually have no gutter.
- Charge more for two stories. Housecall Pro's clean-out ranges show the gap at $100-180 for one story and $150-275 for two.
- Count downspouts and add them at your own per-piece rate.

To price it as an add-on in the calculator below, set drive time, fuel, overhead and minimum to 0 and enter only the extra hours.
Clean-outs have their own season. Owners in a PressureWashingResource winter-work thread listed gutters with Christmas lights and side jobs, so sell them to last year's house wash customers (rebooking past customers) and add both lines to your price sheet.
