If Markate works for you, stay. At $49.95/mo ($45.95 billed yearly) plus $5 per employee it's cheap for a small team, and its pressure washing page lists follow-ups and booking along with deposits and reviews.
Switch to QuoteIQ if you want to measure jobs from the satellite view (Beginner, $99.99/mo, 2 users) or a cheaper solo base (Essentials, $29.99, with fewer tools). Want a trial without a card? Jobber and Housecall Pro both offer 14 days that way, and QuoteIQ asks for one.

Markate's referral program pays in account credits only, so we earn nothing if you stay with it, while links to QuoteIQ, Jobber and Housecall Pro do earn us a commission. Prices are from vendor pricing pages (October 2026) and comments from trade forums, with no hands-on trials.
What Markate Costs in 2026
Markate's pricing page, read in October 2026, puts Owner Operator at $49.95/mo, or $45.95/mo billed yearly, plus $5 per employee per month for teams. The trial is 14 days with no card. The pressure washing page lists an AI estimator that works from photos, along with follow-up automation, 24/7 booking, reviews, and signatures with deposits. We found no satellite measuring.
The price has crept up. In 2019 CFH, a forum member who used Markate, listed a Base Price $25 a month
(Jul 2019), so today's $49.95 is about double. Teams are where it still wins, since an owner plus two helpers comes to $59.95/mo ($49.95 + 2 × $5). That is the lowest per-employee price in this comparison, against $25 for each extra QuoteIQ user.
What Owners Say About It
Several PressureWashingResource members used it (2019-2022), and the tone is good enough, with quirks.
"Is it perfect? No, but nothing really is."

We didn't check which payment processor Markate uses today, so ask about payout limits during the trial if cash flow is tight.
When a Switch Pays Off
If You Want to Measure From the Satellite View
Satellite measuring is the clearest gap. QuoteIQ's Beginner plan costs $99.99/mo for 2 users ($999.99 a year), and its MapMeasure Pro lets you draw the property on the satellite map inside the estimate and returns area and perimeter, plus a linear mode for fences and gutters. The same plan adds before/after photos (QuoteIQ Cam) and e-signatures.
That plan costs $50.04/mo more than Markate month to month, or $37.38/mo more on annual billing ($83.33 vs $45.95). Say your time is worth $50 an hour and one in-person estimate takes 1.5 hours with the drive (one owner's log on The Grime Scene). Skipping a single drive a month saves $75 and covers the difference. Trees can hide a roofline, so keep "price confirmed on arrival" on remote quotes; the method is in quoting without driving out.
Mike Vidan and Justin Rogers founded QuoteIQ, and Rogers hosts Forever Self Employed. Links to QuoteIQ and to Forever Self Employed were banned from r/pressurewashing in a pinned mod post (Jun 12, 2024) that cites demands to remove critical posts, which we can't verify. Nothing locks you in, since QuoteIQ shows no contracts or cancellation fees, but do read the trial terms at checkout.
If You're Solo and Want a Cheaper Base Plan
QuoteIQ Essentials is $29.99/mo ($25 billed annually) for 1 user. It covers estimates and invoices with scheduling and recurring jobs; card and ACH payments are included. That's $19.96/mo less than Markate, or about $251 a year less on annual billing. Essentials would be a downgrade if you use Markate's follow-ups and booking, because on QuoteIQ automated follow-ups start on Pro ($199.99), photos and e-signatures on Beginner, and online quote-and-booking on Elite ($299.99). All QuoteIQ plans are in QuoteIQ pricing.
If You Want a Trial Without a Card
Jobber (14 days, on its Grow plan) and Housecall Pro (14 days) both start without a card. QuoteIQ's 14-day free trial asks for one, and its pricing page also carries a discount pop-up saying that offer is billed in full, so read the checkout terms. Jobber vs Housecall Pro for pressure washing compares the card-free pair.
Saving a few dollars a month is a weak reason to switch, because moving your customer list, price book and recurring jobs costs evenings. Switch for a feature you'll use every week.

As listed on each vendor's pricing page, October 2026. Extra users: Markate $5 per employee, QuoteIQ $25, Jobber $29 (confirm your plan takes added users). Housecall Pro shows no extra-user price for Basic or Essentials ($35 on Max).
Markate is the cheapest team option in that table, and QuoteIQ is the only column that measures from the satellite view. Pick the one that fixes the problem costing you money. QuoteIQ vs Housecall Pro and Jobber alternatives go deeper, and the follow-up cadence works in any tool.
