For the same job plus a full CRM, the match is QuoteIQ Elite at $299.99/mo. InstaQuote puts a quote form on your website, and InstaSchedule lets the customer pick a time after accepting. It costs more than ResponsiBid Pro ($229) but adds route optimization and mass campaigns, plus 10 users.
If customers only need to book a time and don't need to see a price, Housecall Pro Basic ($79, or $59 annual), Jobber Core ($49, or $29 annual) and Markate ($49.95) do that for less.
Whatever you choose, check what the customer entered and put "price confirmed on arrival" on every instant quote.
Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you subscribe through one we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you, and it never decides what we recommend. Details.
We have affiliate links for QuoteIQ, Housecall Pro and Jobber. ResponsiBid and Markate pay us nothing. Prices are from each vendor's pricing page (October 2026) and owner experience is from trade forums, with no hands-on trials.
What ResponsiBid Does Well, and What It Costs
ResponsiBid sells a quoting calculator that you install on your own website, with customer self-scheduling attached. It lists window cleaning, pressure washing and gutters among its trades. As listed on its pricing page (October 2026), Startup is free. Scaling is $179/mo and Pro is $229/mo, and there's a setup fee with a coach (amount not stated). Plans include 1 admin and unlimited sub-users. A year of Scaling is $2,148 and Pro is $2,748, before the setup fee.
The best owner evidence we found is a 2016 thread on a window cleaning forum, a sister trade with the same quoting problem. One owner made it pay.
"We closed 22 jobs on it in the past 12 months, $7724 in revenue."
mshramek, Window Cleaning Resource forum, Jan 2016
"people really like the convenience of not having to talk to someone."
mshramek, same thread, Jan 2016
That works out to about $351 a job ($7,724 ÷ 22). In the same thread, others hit the problem every instant-quote widget has, customers entering the wrong numbers. Kyle said that when his crew arrived, customers would have 40% or more windows than what they entered
, and house sizes were off for house washing too. Steve wrote I finally gave up because I just couldn't get it right.
Kyle's verdict on price was We already have a good CRM that does more than Responsibid for a fraction of the price.
That thread is from 2016 and ResponsiBid's product and pricing have changed since. The lesson about inputs hasn't.
Instant Price or Online Booking
A tool that shows the customer a price on your site and a tool that lets them pick a time are different products. ResponsiBid and QuoteIQ Elite do the first. Housecall Pro Basic and Jobber Core list the second, and so does Markate, with you setting the price yourself.
Web forms are not the same as Responsibid.
Owners noticed the difference years ago, as michaelmole wrote on the Window Cleaning Resource forum in Jan 2014. If you want leads to see a number at 10 p.m. without calling, you need the first kind.
| Tool | What the customer gets | Plan and price | Users |
|---|---|---|---|
| ResponsiBid (baseline) | Instant price + self-scheduling | Startup free; Scaling $179; Pro $229 + setup fee | 1 admin + unlimited sub-users |
| QuoteIQ | Instant quote on your site (InstaQuote) + pick a time (InstaSchedule) | Elite $299.99 ($250/mo annual) | 10 |
| Housecall Pro | Online booking 24/7 from Google or your website | Basic $79 ($59 annual) | 1 |
| Jobber | "Book and schedule jobs online" | Core $49 ($29 annual) | 1 |
| Markate | 24/7 booking | $49.95 ($45.95 yearly) | +$5 per employee |
Monthly prices as listed on each vendor's pricing page (Markate: its pressure washing page for features), October 2026.
QuoteIQ Elite Is the Closest Match, at a Higher Price
InstaQuote embeds a quote form on your website, and customers can measure their own property on the satellite map where you allow it. Once they accept, InstaSchedule lets them pick a time. Elite also carries route optimization, pipelines and mass email and text campaigns for its 10 users. The lower tiers' tools come along too, among them satellite measuring on your side and job photos with e-signatures, plus automated follow-ups.
Elite's $299.99/mo is $70.99 more than ResponsiBid Pro and $120.99 more than Scaling, and billed annually ($2,999.99, or $250/mo) it still sits above $2,748 for a year of Pro before the setup fee (see QuoteIQ pricing by team size for all plans).
As an example, a $351 average ticket at a 30% margin leaves about $105 a job. Elite needs about three extra booked jobs a month to pay for itself, ResponsiBid Pro needs three as well, and Scaling needs two, so if your site doesn't send that many leads, start with the booking-only tools.
Searching QuoteIQ on r/pressurewashing turns up nothing because the mods banned its links, and those of Forever Self Employed, in a pinned post dated Jun 12, 2024. That post says both companies demanded that critical posts come down, which we can't confirm. Forever Self Employed is hosted by QuoteIQ co-founder Justin Rogers. Buyers can cancel anytime, since QuoteIQ lists no contracts or cancellation fees, but the trial terms deserve a read at checkout.
Booking-Only Options Are Cheaper, and You Set the Price
Housecall Pro Basic adds review management to 24/7 booking from Google or your website, at $79/mo ($59 annual) with a 14-day trial and no card. Jobber Core lists online booking at $49/mo ($29 billed annually), though its 14-day no-card trial runs on the Grow plan. On its pressure washing page Markate lists 24/7 booking with deposits and automated follow-ups, from $49.95/mo. None of these pages list an instant price calculator. Put your starting prices on your site (our price sheet helps) and reply fast (speed to lead). QuoteIQ vs Housecall Pro covers booking against measuring.
Which to Choose
Stay with ResponsiBid if instant pricing on your site already brings in jobs, or if you need unlimited sub-users, since Elite includes 10. Choose QuoteIQ Elite if you'd otherwise pay for ResponsiBid plus a separate CRM, since it puts the instant quote and booking inside the app where you measure and quote. When customers mostly need to grab a time slot and you're fine setting the price yourself, Housecall Pro Basic, Jobber Core or Markate will do.
Pair Every Instant Quote With a Check
Customers don't know their numbers. As one PressureWashingResource veteran put it, homeowners rarely know their actual square footage
(BigJake, Apr 2019). Build the check in:
- Ask for the address as well as the sizeLook the property up on the satellite view before you confirm. A tool that measures inside the quote saves a step, and Google Maps by hand works too (the method is in quoting without driving out).
- Print "price confirmed on arrival"Say it on the quote, the way veterans do. BrianHSauls wrote in Mar 2013 that
we always let them know that we will verify info to make sure the price is accurate when we arrive.
- Call or text every online requestThe owner who made ResponsiBid pay still followed up with everyone who submitted a request. The scripts are in following up without being pushy.
- Put the adjustment rule in your termsIf the size is off, you re-quote before you start. The clauses are in the service agreement.
Questions Owners Ask
Is there a free ResponsiBid alternative?
ResponsiBid itself lists a free Startup plan. Among the tools here, the cheapest online booking is Jobber Core at $29/mo billed annually, but it's booking, not instant pricing.
Does Housecall Pro give instant prices like ResponsiBid?
Its pricing page lists 24/7 online booking on Basic, not an instant price calculator. The customer books and you set the price.
Is QuoteIQ cheaper than ResponsiBid?
Not for this job. InstaQuote and InstaSchedule are on Elite, $299.99/mo, against ResponsiBid Pro at $229 and Scaling at $179. QuoteIQ's lower plans are cheaper but don't include them.
How do I stop customers entering the wrong size?
You can't fully. Verify the address on the satellite view, print "price confirmed on arrival", and follow up on every request before the job is locked in.
