QuoteIQ vs Housecall Pro for Pressure Washing

One measures the house from the satellite map. The other puts a booking button on your Google profile. Here is what each costs for 1, 2 and 4-5 people, and which leak each one plugs.

Verdict

Satellite measuring is the dividing line. MapMeasure Pro starts on QuoteIQ's Beginner plan at $99.99/mo with 2 users, and we couldn't find satellite measuring anywhere on Housecall Pro, so an owner who loses evenings driving out to bid belongs on QuoteIQ.

Housecall Pro wins when the leak is missed calls and a thin review count. Basic, $79/mo ($59 billed annually), lists 24/7 online booking and review management, while QuoteIQ's instant quote and booking sits up on Elite at $299.99.

For a team of 4-5 with no use for measuring, Housecall Pro Essentials ($149/mo annual, 5 users) undercuts QuoteIQ Beginner or Pro once you add seats.

Both programs pay us, QuoteIQ's more over the long run, so every price below is sourced and we say where Housecall Pro wins. Nothing here comes from hands-on use, only the vendors' pricing pages (October 2026) and owner forum posts.

What Each Tool Is Built to Fix

QuoteIQ lists pressure washing and soft washing among its trades, and its headline feature is MapMeasure Pro. You outline the house, driveway or roof on the satellite view without leaving the estimate and get area and perimeter back. Fences and gutters use a linear mode.

Housecall Pro is a general home-service platform whose first plan is built around getting booked, with online booking from Google or your website and review management included. That suits the owner whose phone rings while they're up a ladder, the missed calls problem.

As listed on QuoteIQ's and Housecall Pro's pricing pages, October 2026. QuoteIQ annual plans are billed upfront ($299.99, $999.99, $1,999.99 a year). QuoteIQ lists extra users at $25/mo on every plan; we kept them at $25 on annual billing because the page doesn't say they're discounted. Housecall Pro lists a $35/mo extra user for Max (8 users, $329 / $299) only, with no extra-user price shown for Basic or Essentials.

Working solo on the basics, QuoteIQ Essentials comes to $299.99 a year against $708 for Housecall Pro Basic on annual billing, though Basic includes online booking and review management and Essentials doesn't.

If one or two of you quote remotely, QuoteIQ Beginner ($999.99 a year) is the only plan here with satellite measuring, and it costs more than Basic.

At four or five people the picture flips. Housecall Pro Essentials ($149/mo annual) covers 5 users with booking, reviews and photo markup, and QuoteIQ is cheaper only as Essentials plus seats, which has none of those. If nobody on the crew quotes from the map, Housecall Pro is the better buy.

The $26 first-month promo Housecall Pro showed on Basic and Essentials makes a nice first month, not your price. Other headcounts are priced out in QuoteIQ's true cost by team size.

Trial terms differ. Housecall Pro says "Try 14 days free. No credit card required." QuoteIQ's trial is the same 14 days but needs a card, and the discount pop-up on its pricing page says that offer is billed in full. Check the terms when you enter the card.

For most owners the first row decides it. For example, four in-person bids a week at 1.5 hours each (what one Grime Scene owner logged, drive included) is 6 hours you're not washing. Measuring from the map and texting the quote before the customer hangs up wins most of that back. Trees can hide a roofline, so keep "price confirmed on arrival" on every remote quote.

What Owners Say

"it works well for me as far as invoicing, estimates, emailing, and crm."

Omar, on Housecall Pro, PressureWashingResource forum, Mar 2017

Recent Housecall Pro complaints on Capterra come from other trades, but a small shop would feel the same things. Reviewers say "the pricing can feel high for smaller businesses" (Sep 2026) and "Most 'features' are an additional cost, which should be included in the standard pricing" (Aug 2026), and one reports "We average 20 hours a WEEK with support....and are getting nowhere."

QuoteIQ's App Store reviewers (undated) like the remote quoting, and one writes "I particularly love the remote quoting feature, which allows me to send accurate quotes quickly." The complaints are freezes "when I am quoting a large job with lots of descriptions" and maps that are "hard to do in my area (wooded areas) due to google maps having trees in the way." Independent reviews are thin (6 on Capterra, 4 of them posted the same day, and 1 on G2), so trust your own trial. The QuoteIQ review has the rest.

Which One to Choose

Choose QuoteIQ If

  • Evenings go to driving out to bid and you'd rather measure from the satellite view (Beginner, $99.99).
  • You work alone and want the cheapest seat, Essentials at $29.99 ($25/mo annual).
  • Automatic estimate follow-ups with a clear plan attached (Pro, $199.99) are the goal.
  • Before/after photos with an overlay are your answer to damage claims.

Choose Housecall Pro If

  • Missed calls cost you jobs and you want customers booking themselves from Google on the first plan.
  • Review management is on your list and a top tier isn't in budget.
  • Nobody on your 4-5 person crew quotes from the map, and Essentials ($149/mo annual) covers all 5 with booking, reviews and job photos.
  • You want a trial that doesn't ask for a card.

Questions Owners Ask

Does Housecall Pro have satellite measuring?

Not on the pricing page we read in October 2026, so you'd measure by hand in Google Maps or Google Earth. QuoteIQ's version is MapMeasure Pro, on Beginner at $99.99/mo.

Which is cheaper for a solo pressure washer?

QuoteIQ Essentials, at $29.99/mo ($299.99 a year), against Housecall Pro Basic at $79/mo ($59 annual). Basic adds online booking and review management, while QuoteIQ's measuring needs Beginner ($99.99), which costs more than Basic.

Can I try both before paying?

Housecall Pro gives you 14 days with no card. QuoteIQ lists 14 days too but asks for one, and its discount pop-up says that offer is billed in full.

Which one sends automatic quote follow-ups?

QuoteIQ lists them on Pro and above ($199.99/mo). Housecall Pro has a "Pipeline" tool that isn't listed by plan, so ask which one includes it. Or run our follow-up cadence by hand.

Where does Jobber fit?

Jobber Connect gives one user automated follow-ups for $139/mo, less than QuoteIQ Pro, with no built-in measuring. QuoteIQ vs Jobber prices it seat by seat, and Jobber vs Housecall Pro covers the other pairing.
